Room was clean and spacious, and bed was amazing, like super good, specially in SF where there's not a lot to do, it was good to sleep more.
Negatives:
Gym is basic, if you like to exercise, is a basic one comparing to other "big hotels". It's noisy because of the street cable system for the cable cars, so indeed you feel like you are in an airplane.

Excellent location in the city centre of SF. The design of the lobby and restoration of old features of the property gave it a very nice feel and aesthetic in the common areas.
The hotel room was functional and clean.
The bed was one of the nicest and most comfortable I’ve slept in for a long time. Really nice duvets and mattress.
Negatives:
While the price of the stay was very good value, the bar (both drinks and food) was quite pricy.

Comfortable city centre stay
Positives:
The hotel definitely has the charm of the old days from the outside and in the public areas but the rooms were modernized and tastefully decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Negatives:
The restaurant, which is located in the hotel, unfortunately does not match the quality of the rest of the hotel. The staff were sometimes unfriendly and the price-performance ratio was rather disappointing but there are countless good restaurants within walking distance.
