This hotel is very outdated and in need of renovations and tlc. I was on the 3rd floor and catching an early morning flight only to find out the elevators weren't working . They had to send an employee to walk me through the restricted staff area down the staff elevator into the kitchen. The room phone wasn't working either. I would most definitely not stay here again when there are so many other choices in this area.

Positives:
The Regency hotel is close to the airport and has its own shuttle to take you in and out. Take your advantage with this shuttle, it runs every half hour.
Staff is friendly, hotel vibe is mainly business and rooms are good with good wifi and tv.
There are some really nice local shops and restaurants on walking distance. I tried the Bored Cuban for dinner and the Latin Café 2000 for breakfast. Excellent.
Negatives:
It was hot in Miami, so a big AC combo unit of a neighbouring building was pretty noisy, despite of the double windows in the room. Bring your ear plugs etc if you are sensible to this.
