Positives:
The Cherry Orchard Inn is one of the best value budget stays in Sunnyvale / Santa Clara. The location is great along a main road with many restaurants and retail facilities within walking distance. The staff are very helpful. There's a guest laundry, and housekeeping is also excellent. The room is spacious, clean and well maintained. I would strongly recommend anyone to stay here for even mid to long term stays. I have no doubt you'll be well taken care of.
Negatives:
The floorboards in the hallway can sometimes be noisy for guests. The elevator is a bit older and somewhat mechanical.

The carpets in the hallway were disgustingly, filthy and smelly. It made me nauseous to walk down the hallway. Some of the guests were really noisy and having domestic violence fights in the hallway in the room. It was impossible to sleep.
