The view from the room was fantastic, and the room layout was very good. The room amenities were sufficient, and the housekeeping was supportive in providing a water kettle and more fresh towels (for 2 night stay). During check-in, we were asked if we would like to upgrade to Presidential suite for extra charge (as those were available for check-in sooner) - but we didn't opt for it. Google reviews suggest the Presidential suite upsell is not worth it and the views aren't that great (value for money).
Negatives:
A few things:
1. The reception staff was not polite or hospitable. We didn't note their names, but there were 2-3 staff who behaved in quite a racist/elitist manner, especially when we declined to not upgrade our rooms for extra charge. Their curt behaviour created quite an unpleasant experience, and we may not like to visit the establishment again. They really need to learn how to be hospitable in a hospitality industry.
2. The buffet breakfast was very basic in nature and woefully inadequate. The choices in breakfast were not diverse (e.g., no cold cuts section, which is usually found in other hotels with buffet breakfast) and the choice of omlettes was simply toppings folded into a cooked omlette (like a wrap instead of being beaten together to meld things and prepare a proper omlette). The staff working in the restaurant section were quite courteous and helpful, however.

There was no mention when making the reservation that the parking was off site. What was really disappointing was that the valet came to the car and mentioned the process and only when I asked, did he mention the $100. Then after parking off site ourselves and taking the shuttle, did we find out that it was an addition $35 for the parking.
Now to top it off. If you are the average person who eats anything, including Mikey D's and the other slop joints, then be happy eating the included breakfast. I took two bites and headed up to IHOP next door. A bit pricey but the view and food was top notch.

I was helped by someone named Troy. I was impressed at how the other staff were taking their time to explain parking options, what elevators to take, where the amenities were located. When I checked in the person helping me did not do anything but check me in. I suppose it was efficient but they asked for my credit card and ID and then they handed me the package of room keys and papers. No explanation of what floor my room was or what the little package included. I asked about parking having overheard the other staff, he said “ask the valet”. I asked where the valet was and he just pointed and did not further explain. It wasn’t rude but it certainly was not customer service. The room and stay overall was nice but first impressions count.
