no key due to transformer down . had to be escorted to our room every time we left . I know it wasn’t their fault, but maybe some kind of discount. It cost way too much to stay there with no key and the hotel needs to be remodeled especially since there’s a new hotel moving across from them the carpet is terrible and it’s never vacuumed. It needs to be painted. Just the age of the building makes it look dirty. They were always out of coffee in the waiting area. I travel back-and-forth to Birmingham quite often and I’ve been looking for a nice hotel that doesn’t cost a lot so far I have not been successful although your hotel is the best location so far if only you could clean it up a bit. also, there was maintenance people in the hallway and inside the roof trying to fix the Wi-Fi. It was not a great weekend there as far as being relaxed.
