The breakfast was OK -- not as good as at other Hampton Inns, but OK. The room was clean and big enough for two.

SHUTTLE SERVICE!! When we arrived at SFO about 5 pm, I called the hotel to ask about the shuttle and it rolled into voice mail a half dozen times, without taking messages -- there was a not-so-helpful suggestion that we "call back later". Eventually someone answered, but I could not understand what they were saying, between outside noise, a thick accent and a poor connection. It took a half hour of waiting in the cold of the San Francisco Airport to get the shuttle to the hotel. When we finally checked in, we learned that the LAST MORNING SHUTTLE LEAVES AT 9:15 a.m. and doesn't resume until mid-afternoon. We had to take a Lyft to catch our flight out -- we should also have paid for a Lyft to the hotel from the airport, rather than freezing our a***** off waiting. I've stayed at numerous Hampton Inns over the years and this rates near the bottom for us -- it's an older facility with some odd design features, the staffing seems minimal and the shuttle service is abysmal (they contract it out and choose not to pay for customer-centric service). Would we stay there again? NEVER! There are lots of other options for overnights at SFO.

It was close to the airport. A friendly night receptionist helped me get an Uber at 2.30 am. He was very nice and helpful..
