This is the second time I have stayed here, and I love it. You can't beat the value. It's got an old-school motel vibe, but clean and quiet. The location, easy walking distance to Stonesteps to the beach, Pannikin coffee shop, and tons of restaurants, is top notch.

This motel is in an excellent location. On the beach side of the pacific coast highway. We could easily walk to cafes, shops and the beaches. The staff were very friendly.
A small breakfast was available each morning which was a bonus. It was also nice to have a room with a table and chairs to eat around.
The swimming pool was a nice extra too. The kids enjoyed using it at the end of the day.
Negatives:
There was no freezer in our fridge which is disappointing as we like to be able to keep our ice packs cold for our cool box. It was also not easy to dry wet swim suits and towels from the beach as the room had no where to hang things from.
As a morning tea drinker it was annoying that there was nowhere to access boiling water. The only hot drink available at breakfast was coffee.
Storage space was limited.
I wouldn't stay here for more than a few nights as it doesn't offer the facilities to make it comfortable for longer than that.

But the rooms were small for the price.
They said they had "breakfast" but it was only coffee, juice, mini pastries and apples.

No. Just no. Picked this hotel based on the reviews and no. Old building. Loud. Small and gross. I didn't even stay the night.
Negatives:
Bed was so hard it felt like a bare box springs. They list on the site as having breakfast. Well 'breakfast' was coffee tea and fruit. Some locals pulled up in their car and went swimming in the pool. I thought the price wAs nice but it was not.

Not much. The location was very convenient.
Negatives:
Other than the staff, who were excellent. The facility was very old. They were renovating the rooms, but the work was sub par. Pillows were dinky. We had to purchase pillows. Too many things were negative, I will not stay here again.
Positives:
Nice and freindly hotel in a city very much centered around the beach. Only short walk to the water. Good shops in the neighbourhood

Breakfast should include items without sugar
