The kids enjoyed the continental breakfast during our stay and the gym pool was poor could use an upgrade.

The location of the hotel was very deceiving and uncomfortable. My family including small children and I did not like the location next to an abandoned building by the freeway in the train tracks wasn't so bad but the people that ordered around those areas made it unsafe and unsavory for a family. Great location of your trucker but if your family with small children not a location I'll visit again. Also I wanted a room that had a separate living room from the sleeping quarters. The hotel only had two in the whole building which apparently stays booked.

The shuttle drivers were very nice and one of the front desk ladies was mindful of our safety and called for security to escort us to the back building.

The way the back building is located and how we had to get there. Our front desk lady gave us directions to walk around the building to the back. That sounded concerning already. We were very thankful that the other front desk lady heard her and called for security to escort us to the back building. It was late at night when we checked in and it was scary to do that walk, behind the hotel, scary parking lot, dirt road and cross railroad tracks. We finally got settled around 11pm then about 2 in the a.m., for no reason that we could see in our hallway, the alarm went off and woke us up from our already "short night's rest." Our main purpose was to get a good nights rest in a nice hotel before catching our early flight in the a.m. I called the front desk twice. Fire truck then showed up. Everything was ok. Then in the morning just before 5am, I called the front desk for a security escort back to the front desk to check out. She had the shuttle come to the back and pick us up instead. That was perfect! We have stayed at other La Quinta's and have enjoyed it very much.
