Yotel Miami

Negatives: The digitization/electronics/light situation is so over the top it is comedic. Literally not a light switch in sight. It took 20 minutes just to figure out the right combo I needed to turn off the lights. Shower and toilet situation are questionable as well - not much privacy so I would not stay in these rooms unless you are comfortable defecating in front of the person you are staying with!

Negatives: I was meeting a friend there and couldn’t get to her room because of their keycard system. So you can only go to another floor if you’re with the person who’s on that floor by scanning the keycard. Wonderful for safety, annoying if you just need something from a friend.

Negatives: Nothing

Negatives: Well... unfortunately, quite a lot of issues and flaws in my opinion. It seems like this hotel brand put it all on technology and design, and unfortunately, some essential elements which I am expecting from a hotel like this are really missing... The room is horribly noisy. OK, Miami is a party city, but still, you can make the rooms soundproof. They are NOT! You hear everything. And unfortunately, a lot of people nowadays tend to forget the basic rules of education as well, but the hotel should compensate by offering well isolated rooms. Another major issue is that the rooms are small and FULL of tech-systems. It's fancy, but the downside is that the room is super bright at night. There are things flashing everywhere in the room, which is horrible. For some (stupid) reason, the fire/smoke detector is located right over the bed, and that thing flashes in your head non-stop... That's just one example. Again, basic rules of comfort are really missing here. The swimming pool, even though "outside" (located on a hotel floor, barely has any direct sunlight during the day, and it get pretty windy up there... So no real "outdoor" swimming pool feeling. The breakfast is VERY limited, although pretty tasty. Way too pricy for what it is. No parking for hotel guests... Parking around are stupidly expensive (and again, downtown is not the fanciest area in Miami. I was shocked by the amount of junkies and homeless people in the neighbourhood. Very sad sight...). Parking prices are not justified at all, compared to other areas (Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Design District, etc.) Overall, I am disappointed and I won't come back, nor will I book another Yotel again. The idea is good, but they forgot the fundamentals of hotel comfort.

Negatives: My room was not cleaned for some reason 2 days out of the 7 stayed.

Negatives: too expensive for small room, not very central

Negatives: THE WORST HOTEL IN MIAMI The beds are less than 90 cm wide. the valet parking is very expensive and THEY CRASHED MY CAR the worst of all the valet did NOT want to respond and was very rude to me, THEY EVEN WANTED TO DENY IT even though I saw with my eyes when the valet driver crashed it ... when he was bringing it. At the hotel reception, the manager didn't raise a solution they said it was not a company that they managed separately and they did nothing! It is full of homeless outside the reception and drug addicts. DO NOT STAY HERE BELIEVE ME!
