Valet was unorganized. After leaving the lobby everything was dirty. Bathroom door didnt close. Mattress was so thin, just awful. The towels were paper thin. Never ever again!

Our room (4th floor) was really noisy from amplified music from Bourbon Street. I mean extremely loud till it stopped at 1:02am. The room was stripped down of most extras- no bottled water, no lotion or other toiletries, no robe, bare minimum bedding. I stayed here a few years ago when I would have said it was a 4 star hotel. Now I would say 3 to 3.5 at best.

Positives:
Big red stains on the carpet between the beds. I thought it was blood. The maintenance man said it was spilled drinks. Bathroom faucet broke, drain plug stick couldn't drain sink, tub dripping and the room phone did not work the entire stay. Maintenance man there first night after 8 pm, he couldn't fix faucet but pulled the plug up so sink could drain. He couldn't fix phone because he said "I need a new cord be back tomorrow" he never came. But he did stop the tub from dripping. Called front desk again the next day, again a different maintenance man came about 830 pm. He said " a new phone was needed but they didn't have any" Beds were so lumpy and hard and my pillowcase had a huge hole in it. Room was not clean most things were sticky...remote control, light switches, door handles.
Now, it is frightening and unsafe for a women to let a strange man in her room at night or anytime especially without a phone to the front desk. My two daughters couldn't come due to illnesses...so I was alone Thursday and Friday until Saturday when 1 daughter was able to join me.
I was terrified to open my door at night. Wouldn't you be?
I have stayed at Crown Plazas before and the accomodations are impeccable. This facility is filthy top to bottom.
I want some type of refund for this stay. I requested the manager to assist but they never called and didn't give a crap obviously.
I booked thru booking.com and expect compensation.

It badly needs to be renovated, it feels very 1980's. Furniture in bedrooms is damaged due to its age. On one of the nights we stayed the fire alarm was set-off at 1pm by one of the residents but the hotel weren't in the least pro-active in dealing with the situation.
