Building smelt weird in the halls, like mildew. In a terrible area, but did feel safe because it was surrounded by police and military base. No food around.

The location is perfect, Algiers Point is away from the noise of the town but close enough to hop on the ferry to get to all the attractions (plus the kids loved riding the ferry every day). Beds were comfy, and we felt safe. Well priced.
Negatives:
It was a bit dirty. The kitchen was not stocked with anything. the floors were sticky, and it had a damp smell. Aircon was also very noisy.

Positives:
Free parking for our cruise was such a blessing! The staff was amazing--very helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were quite large. There was a kitchenette, but you should probably bring your own cooking supplies and utensils. I felt very safe here.
Negatives:
It's definitely an aging hotel, but owners appear to be trying their best to upkeep it. I had no issues whatsoever with the cleanliness.

She gave me immediate assistance when I had technical difficulties while watching TV. Then checked on me to make sure I was ok. These are the "big," little things that makes all the difference. Because of the way I was treated I give Federal City Inn high recommendations.
