The location was ideal. Close enough to the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter, but far enough away to not be bothered by the noise from it. Very easy for ride-share drivers to find and easy walking distance to everything we needed.
The positives don't outweigh the negatives unfortunately...
Negatives:
I booked a standard room which looked nothing like the pictures listed. The room I was given was on the ground floor right opposite the bar - across the open internal courtyard. The only window in the room opened directly into this courtyard meaning the blind had to stay permanently drawn for privacy. I think this goes a long way to explaining the damp and mould in the room.
The room was dirty, damp and had large mould patches growing on the walls and ceiling. The shower has no door/curtain meaning the floor got soaked with every use. The toilet smelt badly and had no ventilation to help smells leave the room. The Lino flooring had multiple holes to the concrete floor below.
On my third night (booked for 7), just before getting into bed, I had to deal with a large cockroach crawling across the bed. This was my final straw and I requested a room change the next morning. The receptionist at the time was very understanding (in fact he didn't bat an eyelid at the mention of mould and cockroaches...) and promised me an upgraded room later that day. This room was actually a one-bedroom appartment across the street. While this was certainly an improvement, there was no AC and the bedroom fan control didn't work. This meant it was either off or on full blast which was difficult to sleep with. However, it was still a huge improvement on the previous room, for which I was thankful.
The staff in general were reasonably helpful, apart from the very rude and pretty offensive late afternoon/night receptionist. I haven't encountered a hotel employee as rude and dismissive as him in my 46 years. He seemed genuinely shocked when I asked him for the key to the new room I had been allocated when I returned to collect it the afternoon it was promised. He asked why I had requested to move and was unapologetic and quite surprised that I didn't want to stay with the cockroaches! He is definitely not a good advert or welcome for the hotel.

The room was great, big and very nice, with all good facilities. Friendly staff The building is beautiful, and it is just outside the busy part of the town between the French quarter and the Garden District
Negatives:
The Wi-Fi in the bedroom was appalling. It was OK in the lobby + There is Very Loud music on Saturdays with a DJ on their rooftop from 5pm to midnight. Be warned!

The place was in a restaurant/bar, so if you were looking something to drink around, you have it right there. The location is good, close by to downtown and nice restaurants.
Negatives:
The room wasn't as expected. The combination or AC and the windows open is not very good for someone who hasn't been in New Orleans. But all the rest was good.

Perfect location. Great comfortable space. Alejandro ( front desk) and Belkis ( housekeeping) were super nice and helpful.

Filthy. Hadn't been properly cleaned up. All kitchen utensils and dishes were dirty & piled all up in the dishwasher, still dirty. We had to buy our own kitchen utensils and cups. There are not enough linens & blankets for the space. We found old laundry in both the washer & dryer. Must pay attention to detail.
