Positives:
Excellent location to UMass Amherst. Convenient DD right next door. Ample parking and multiple entrances to the hotel depends where once room is. Easy access of the hotel from highways and easy access to rooms from parking area.

Positives:
There are not many hotels in the Deerfield MA area. We chose the Red Roof Inn in South Deerfield, which was a bit sad and worn, but clean; it met our needs. The front desk person was quite accommodating. We were originally scheduled for a two-night stay, but due to a need to be in Providence RI very early the morning following our second night, we decided it would be best to stay closer to Providence for the second night. Working with her boss via telephone, she was able to work out our reservation and allow the change from a two-night stay to one-night with no additional charge. She was very organized and a good problem solver, which we appreciated very much.

Lovely setting, helpful staff. Parking was easy.
Negatives:
Property gardens were lovely. Pool was out of order; rooms were clean when we arrived but there was no cleaning service during our 3-night stay. We did not receive fresh towels, sheets, cups, etc. and coffee was not replenished. Also, there was no cart for carrying luggage so I had to make 5-6 trips in and out of building to parking lot carrying heavy loads. In addition, we were in a room for disabled because my husband’s mobility is severely impacted by MS. The seat in the bathtub was too low for him safely get in and out of the tub. We paid extra for this room, and It was definitely not worth the extra $40/night that we paid to have an accessible room.
And finally, the lock did not work correctly. I had to have the card rekeyed every time we went in and out of the door.

No cart for luggage available...thankfully we were not phyically handicapped.
The corridors were dirty with dead bug carcasses all around...nasty.
The price was not in line with what we received. The bedding is old and saggy...!
The owneres may need to invest some capital in squaring this place up to the level of their peers properties.

I thought there was going to be a pool. I asked him is there a pool? It was closed I was there five days and did not see one person working on the pool. They said it was under reconstruction. Not good

The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The location was easy on and off the highway.

One of our room's door handle fell off the door when you tried to leave the room. It was a fire hazard and my elderly mother stayed in it so it was concerning. Also, the pillows seemed old- could use a refresh.
