The older hotel had a nice chandelier.
Negatives:
There were no luggage racks for the room to use, so you had to lug everythung up the stairs. No one asked if you needed any help. The front desk staff was short and not very friendly, only telling you what they won't be doing. they said they don't know where you can park, although it is free to park on their side of the street. How can you not know that? the hotel was HOT, MUGGY, AirCon doesn't really work. The hotel has not got food open Sunday that we could find, the hotel doesn't allow pictures unless you have a contract for additional 150 so there were many prom guests in lobby complaining about that.
The staff did not bring ice bucket, only loaded in one coffee cup when room says 2 are there, we called and no one came, we went to the desk, no one came, we had to call again and someone came in to give the coffee cups. There was 1 water bottle, but nome for the coffee was replaced by day. I had to go to CVS and buy coffee. The mimi fridge was so low it may as well have been off. The room temperature was 77-79 with air circulation fan. It was miserable, I couldn't sleep at all. There is parking around the hotel for 10.00 per day and night so the 47.00 fee is just for their staff to put the car into the garage 1 block away that is something you can do. There are no signs as to where the ice is, and there is only 1 floor with ice it's floor 8. You must wait 20 minutes for the elevator to come and then fill ice and do it again wait for elevator in hot hot hallways. This stay was ridiculous in so many ways, only one phone may connect to the wifi. Otherwise they charge. The showers were cold water, not a lot of hot, so you can cool down that way.

Negatives:
I want to be clear that the staff is great! But our room was not so great. Upon entering there were rotten leftovers in the fridge, crumbs in the bed, and toothpaste on the mirror. During our stay, the bathroom lights flickered on and off, the mirror in the bathroom almost fell off the wall, and we had no toilet paper. We told these things to the front desk and they gave us toilet paper and told us theyd send someone to help with the lights & mirror and the only reason we could tell someone had been in the room is because the cleaning staff left their cleaner and rag. Unrelated to the room, the lobby and elevators smelled like sewage. It was so bad that you had to hold your nose when walking through it. There were a few other small things as well, but I think I set the tone with the above statement. my partner and I both have worked in hotels and we arent big complainers, we know that everyone is short staffed but it was really frustrating for a stay that cost $500 for three nights.
