Great, funky vibe and atmosphere. Love the refurbished and eclectic atmosphere. I love old things that have been "saved" . NOt for the person who wants all the amenities of the Marriott or Hyatt
Negatives:
This seems kind of silly but the bedroom airconditioner up above the door has a bright light on it. For people who, apparently like me, who struggle waking up with light, it was really frustrating. I couldn't reach it to put a towell or something over it. The coffee pot took a minute to figure out.

Loved the vibes of this retro place. The bed was a great experience. We enjoyed the outdoor pizza night on the courtyard. Location was super and the Parking was easy.

We always enjoy our stays at El Rey! It is quiet, clean, and comfortable. It’s handy for visits to the Plaza, museums, restaurants, and places we like to visit! We always recommend the El Rey to our friends visiting Santa Fe!

Also, it was very complicated to find a way to book directly with you and I didn’t know I should’ve just called to book a reservation to get my Arizona resident discount of 20%

And since I’ve never used that before, I just thought that was something you elected the public to do instead of booking directly with you that was very frustrating. And then the girl at the front desk didnt tell me, she asked for my ID but she didn’t tell me I could get a 20% discount as an Arizona resident. Also, it was very frustrating to arrive and want one cocktail and it was 10:55 or something and the front desk was like yeah there’s bar it’s open oh but it closes in five minutes that wasn’t very cool.

The space was cute, my pup really enjoyed roaming the grounds and we were very central to everything.
Negatives:
The hot tub/sauna weren’t working and with it being cold, that would have been nice. Also the kettle in the room didn’t make the water hot so you really rely on the food truck that comes by.

The whole vibe! Such a gorgeous and well crafted experience. The bar was super cute, the hot tub was gorgeous, the amount of grass was lovely too for our dogs. Love the merch , I bought a shirt! The whole aesthetic was perfect! I loved the food truck and smell of the fireplace that was around the whole place.
Negatives:
Was bummed the pool was closed, but it's the off season :)
