Location! It is in the heart of Brooklyn. City Point Mall is on the next street, where you can buy food from Target and Trader Joe's. Metro stations for all lines are around. Many restaurant options are available. This is my second stay in this hotel. Two years ago, the park did not exist in front of the hotel; there was a construction site. Now, a nice, well-designed, clean public park is in front of the hotel. Elevators were slow previously; now there are four fast elevators. Our room has a nice city view that I enjoyed sunrise and sunset:)

Steve, Jay, Chantel were incredibly helpful not to mention other staff members who provided directions and assistance during our stay. The second room we were given was comparable to our initial room with the added bonus of a operable air conditioner. The in-hotel café was a welcomed treat.
Negatives:
The cockroaches and the broken bed. I was forced to sleep on one side of the bed because the box spring, I assume, was broken. Housekeeping did a nice job of tiding our room. We only used housekeeping 3x over a 10-day stay. Towels situation was inconvenient. With a 2 person, double-bed booking, housekeeping should provide 4 towels (2 for each person), we were consistently given 3 towels.

Regular cleaning, complimentary water, decent sound insulation, except doors. Furniture is dated, but well maintained. Location is nearby 4 metro lines, cafes and park. Fairly safe.
Negatives:
AC is noisy and hard to manage. Shower is weak, there are few bits of mold. There was cockroach in bathroom. Also on arrival the room was not fully cleaned. We found hairs and some substance on toilet seat, plus somebody’s socks in wardrobe.
