Hilton Garden Inn Nanuet

Negatives: there was NO complimentary 24/7 coffee bar in the lobby its very disappointing considering it is offered at all other lower budget sister Hotels we have stayed at (ie Hampton Inn etc). How hard is it to offer that, especially at a more expensive hotel. At times when they do offer coffee, they also dont offer different flavor creamers like the other hotels do either, just half & half. Another big issue we had was the pool & Hot tub has listed hours of 8am-10:00pm. We went down to use them at 8:15 Monday Night (4/22) and they were closed due to maintenance. This is unacceptable! Maintenance should be done before or preferably after , not DURING the hours when hotel guests wish to use it. And breakfast was super confusing. They had a breakfast buffet but you werent allowed to serve yourself. The lady attending the tables basically told us that everything we ordered would be an extra charge even though we told her we had prepaid breakfast and had vouchers. Luckily the people at the front desk were able to explain it and said there would be no extra charge, she just rings up everything and gives us a bill and we bring it to the front desk and they staple our voucher to it and it gets Comped off. I asked why such confusion and i was told that they dont care what we eat, its all included, but they like to keep track of how much food is being eaten. They even charge $12.95 pp for continental breakfast at this hotel which is INSANE because at the very least continental breakfast is offered complimentary by MOST hotels (even the cheaper hotels owned by Hilton) for free. Mix that with a lady with bad english telling you that you would be charged for everything and it was easily the most confusing breakfast experience of my life. Lastly, the last thing i want to mention is the sausage links are undercooked and raw on the inside and crispy on the outside (indicating they were cooked at high heat for a little amount of time).

Negatives: Breakfast should be included.

Negatives: I didn’t get the room i booked i spend more money for a room that it was cheaper The room they gave me was right next to housekeeping and woke me up around 7:30am both morning. The housekeeping lady had loud phone listening to the mass and yelling..Jesus is coming soon

Negatives: It was very clean but we found a few hairs on our bedding and in our soap dish. The toilet didn’t flush well. We also thought we booked a smoking room because there were NON SMOKING rooms advertised and rooms that didn’t have NON SMOKING in the title. Apparently the whole hotel is smoke free. We saw they advertised the non smoking rooms but it would have been nice if it said somewhere it was a smoke free facility.
