The room was not clean enough for our understanding of a clean hotel room (even for 3* hotel)
Door stained, glass wall with dust, mirror just wiped but not clear clean, visible layers of dust on few pieces of accessorise and bathroom door, a bit smelly carpet.

The room was quite musty smelling and the decor quite tired. The shampoo bottles in the shower were grimy and need a wipe. The aircon unit was far too noisy to use at night.

The location: it allows to reach many places of interest by walking, plus close to Grand Central station, for subway (multiple lines) and LIRR to/from airport.
Good amount of towels & they were changed daily.
Large drawer under the bed, to store stuff.
Quick lifts.
Storage room to keep luggages after checking out.
Negatives:
Very small room.
The sliding door of the toilet was not closing properly, and we had to put a piece of carton to hold it closed : not very good in terms of privacy.
Since the space is extremely limited, I would have liked a few more hooks in the toilet, to hang towels/stuff up.
Cleaning: it appears to be clean at first glance, but looking properly, it was not done accurately. And quite dusty, you could tell some spots have not been addressed for a long time. For the money paid, I'd expect better level of cleaning.
The policy of withholding 30 $ per night at the time of check in. I do not see the sense in that (since the money is given back straight away on check-out, thus prior to checking any damages in the room) and it was a massive amount of money taken off the overall planned budget.
