Overall the location, the facilities, the cleanliness are quite good.
Negatives:
However, the reception staff is very unprofessional and bad banners. When I showed my booking email and transaction information, he turned down my booking and told me that I cannot stay as I am using a different given name. He told me he need check with his supervisor for 20mins, while I am panic for my broadway show start soon. When I left, there are many people q for checkout and no reception staff at all.

Great to go to Broadway shows. Many amazing restaurants nearby. Quality Italian on 57th! Lillie's Victorian Establishment. Close to MOMA

Front desk was clueless about restaurants in the area. We wanted a late breakfast and there were 2 iconic NY diners within 3 blocks and they suggested Dennys in Times Square! Yuck! Not even the manager could come up with something.

Location was good if you want to walk out on to Time Square and be right in middle of city. Room was clean, bathroom very nice and spacious.

This hotel is fine for a city break and you plan on being out walking, touring and eating out but not for any facilities or if you plan on spending any time at the hotel. I really found the staff not helpful at all. We arrived early and no way for us to freshen up at all, i went down early morning for a run and asked front desk where the restroom was they said it was too early and i could not use it. Doorman did not offer once either when we were arriving or leaving to help with bags into out out of car infact the doorman would not even move the cone outside the entrance to allow the uber for us to park so we had to rush into road to load the bags. I asked reception best way to get back to airport the reception response was "this is new york,nothing is easy so take the train." For the price you pay this really was a rip off of an hotel.
