Everything was great except for...

The staff during our check-in was helpful and accommodating when it came to questions about the area we were in and touring the room before check in. The lobby and bar area were beautiful, but the rooms were subpar.

Was informed of roaches in the kitchen.
Tub in the bathroom was dirty and toilet was leaking all night and was difficult to flush. Called about it in the night and was told no manager was there for them to do anything about it.

The room itself was very dated. Breakfasts were ok, but the hot food wasn't particularly hot. We visited the bar once, but it closed early so only had a short time there

The area is also a bit dodgy, the wifi is inconsistent and cleanliness of the exterior was lacking (a bin 15ft from my room was overflowing the entire time i was there and wasn't emptied).

Where do I start. The pictures don’t represent the actual hotel. Something was always broken at breakfast so that was a bust, the toilet didn’t flush in 2 of our rooms, when we went out and came back maintenance had left the door wide open to one of our rooms. Thank you God everything was still there. The stairs were unsafe by far.
