Staff were not knowledgeable about area/transport. They did not seem to have any training in the art of problem solving.
Ridiculous "resort fee" of $29 per night for providing in the lobby a bowl of fruit and coffee and water dispenser. Also, parking was $40 per night. Although the room was large and comfortable the bathroom was tiny and the rack to hang your towel to dry was positioned low over the toilet paper making it damp!!

Beautiful building! Cute room. Restaurant and Bar great service. Perfect location if visiting Goose Hollow in Portland. All staff were kind, friendly and very helpful.
Negatives:
Pillow sham was stained. Carpet had a stain. Its an old building so it comes with old building stuff.

Vintage style of hotel was beautiful, especially the intricate carved ceilings, skylights. The art Deco inspired glass front door was amazing. Very classy.
Rooms were immaculate, very clean. Also liked that there was tub & shower.

The confusion about the parking. The Hotel Deluxe website clearly says the hotel offers complimentary parking ($40 value) in the lot across the street..but when I called to reserve a spot and also at check in I was told No, there is no complimentary parking. No apologies, no explanations. Just no, you don't get that. Why put a statement like that on your website? Why confuse people and lead them on with false info? Fortunately for us there was street parking ( free at night, pay by day).
