Staybridge Suites Chattanooga Downtown - Convention Center an IHG Hotel

Negatives: It smelled awful for the entire stay.

Negatives: This property needs to be updated in certain areas. You can see the wear and tear. The carpet in the main hallways on floor 4 were rippled and created a tripping hazard. There were also a lot of unpleasant smells in the hallways as well.

Negatives: What a piss poor hotel. I registered a month ahead of time to arrive. Asked for a handicapped room. Did not receive a HC room!!! Turned off lights at night. Blew breaker. Called office. Waited 30 minutes. Was on. No one told us while we waited to go to bed. Coffee machine was growing stuff in it. Nasty around refrigerator. Refer door would not close properly. Toilet stopped up. Was told there was a $9.00 fee for parking. Was charged $50.00!!! What a rip-off!!!On top of a $175.00 a night piss poor room!!!

Negatives: The bathrooms could have been cleaner and I feel like the hotel could be updated some.

Negatives: The beds were worn out and very uncomfortable. There was stains on the pull out couch.

Negatives: When we first got to hotel it reeked of smoke thru the 1st floor hallway. I found live roaches in my room. On morning of day 2, I asked for maintenance to come for water backing up in my bathroom sink which NEVER came so I had to dip out the water before the sink overflowed. The pull out sofa was broken so it could not be used at all. As the same for the 2 other rooms we booked. At check in, the price that was quoted and the price when I got to hotel was different. Front desk lady was very rude and not willing to help solve the issue however, manager was very understanding and tried to help. At check out, the desk staff was very rude and when I was telling him about the issues of the room he cut me off quickly and told me yeah ok but never wrote anything down or was not apologetic at all. The parking pass quit working on day 2 of the stay saying we had exceeded our parking so we had to pay $9.00 per entrance to the parking lot. If i pay to stay at a hotel, I am NOT going to pay to park there also. When we checked out on day 3 we could not get out of the parking gate and nobody would answer the call so we had to go back in to hotel to ask them to let us out. There again the front desk was very rude about it. The cost I was told at check out that would be charged to my card and was printed out on my statement at checkout was $368 however, we was still charged the $404 on my card, with additional for the parking The overall stay was very disappointing and stressful. We will NOT be staying or recommending this hotel in the future. We booked 3 suite rooms for 2 night stay.

Negatives: Overall needed updating, little outdated. The pool heated would've been great
