La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Brookshire

Negatives: Our room smelled really bad. It smelled musty and sour. My niece's room 2 doors down did not smell bad, and neither did the hallways or lobby, it was just our room.

Negatives: Before we traveled to our destination I called to confirm our reservation. The worker then proceeds to say, "he doesn't see our q but he will read off each name that he sees on the reservation" which invades the privacy of others. As I was approaching the establishment i used the back entrance to drive around and I noticed the gates were open in the back around the pool area which could easily invite intruders to swim. Approaching the front entrance there was a cart stacked very high with boxes and trash which instantly made me feel irritated that I'd pick the wrong hotel for my stay. My sister had already checked in texted me to say, "her AC wasn't working". I approached the front desk and the employees weren't very friendly at all I think the entire staff needs to be replaced! Me and my family entered our room which had a stench. Bed appeared to be clean, cot wasn't very pleasant and my daughter seem to have found a green ball under the cot once we pulled it out that she insisted to play with and we told her no, we didn't use the pull out couch every one slept on the bed, we also found a pile of cocoa pebbles in the corner that other guest dropped during their stay, the pool was not clean, and a guest on the second floor decided to watch our kids swim gazing out of his room window on the second floor at that point I didn't feel safe at all, the breakfast and breakfast area was the best thing durning the stay. It was very quiet at night, the hotel staff does not greet you at the door, my mother, sister, and other family members also had horrible things to say about the place as we did go as a large ground. The list goes on and I can't believe I've warned you guys enough not to go here. We also didn't have to use identification to request new room key we just walked up and told them the room number and they gave us keys. Amazing right!

Negatives: Staff member when checking in wasn’t very informative.

Negatives: They did not charge me a pet fee at check in and wanted to charge it after our stay. The check it was great but had we know there was a pet fee we would have paid it. It was not post and the host knew we had a small dog. The front desk lady in the morning was VERY VERY rude about us not being charged and told us to NEVER COME BACK. I would say that was great customers service.

Negatives: The room had a mildew smell to it and the water pressure was not good at all… the water barely came out
