The staff members were all friendly. The breakfast choices were plentiful and delicious. My son enjoyed making his own waffle for breakfast. The complimentary tea was refreshing on the hot days. Room was clean and comfortable. The beds were plush and clean. Very nice decor and spacious. AC kept the room so cool especially in the 95°F weather. The iron and ironing board came in handy to iron my dress. Hair dryer was also available but I didn't need to use. Towels were clean, soft and super white. The dove brand soap, shampoo and conditioner were nice. The fitness center was one thing I wish I had used. The ice machine was conveniently located. The little store to buy snacks and other items was a great idea. The pool was clean but the sky became overcast in the morning of our last day. Outdoor sitting areas were lovely. Close proximity to restaurants, Target and Randall's and to workshop I attended at Citizen Bank. The great affordable price of the rooms and close to the American Marriage Ministries Training Workshop was perfect. Checkout was great and easy! I will recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again in the future!
Negatives:
I didn't realize the room only had a coffee maker and no fridge or microwave. I didn't see the microwave in the lobby until the next morning. I didn't realize there was a $50 deposit required after pre paying for the days/nights stay but was quickly refunded after checking out. I had booked two double beds and was given a king bed. We had to go back downstairs to have it corrected. The desk clerk was very apologetic and quickly got us the correct room accommodation. Overall, these issues were not major and did not put a damper on our stay. We checked out on the same day that Houston was hit by the tornado. The sky was overcast and getting windier.

Hotel safety was an issue: my friend had 4 wheels stolen at the parking lot! Someone suddenly opened my room door at night! Fortunately, I had Swing Latch locked to avoid the person to enter! Hotel hallways and room carpet need refurbishing. Everything old and dirty! Breakfast could be better: the second day I was there they had run out of cream cheese and there was no replacement in 4 days! When I asked the lady about it, she simply said they had run out of it. I missed fruits and variety.
