There is no pool. The lighting in the room was way too bright - especially the bathroom. Additionally, we arrived after 3pm when we should have been able to check in. The front desk agent said the room wasn't ready and we'd have to wait. Unless we paid $50 for a room upgrade. So we did - but it would have been nice if she offered it for free, considering we arrived when we were told that the room would be ready.

Positives:
The room was nice. The shower worked well. The temperature of the room could be adjusted easily. The hotel was clean. The parking attendant and the restaurant staff were friendly.
Negatives:
Unfortuntely Canopy's location surroundings were not as nice as before. We walked to the church and there were bums near the bridge on the way there. The hotel did not offer wine or sparkling rosé at check in as they've done in the past, only beer or water. One of us prefers wine to beer. That evening the "Otro" bar didn't make an apple martini which is what we asked for. We'd been to Canopy SA before for our anniversary and it was better then than now. It's unfortunate but we left thinking that next time we'd probably try Galveston instead of San Antonio as a getaway destination. Hopefully things can improve because by and large your people are very nice.

Everything about the property was great. The location, decor, ambiance, etc.
Negatives:
The one negative about our stay was the lack of a service elevator. There were multiple elevator uses where staff were transporting items with carts that took much of the space in the elevator. Not a huge deal but did slightly detract the overall ambiance.

No breakfast provided, but there was a restaurant connected which was nice.
I loved the decor, how quite the room was and the filtered water but sadly no ice machines were working so I had to go to front desk. Safe in the room was also nice and the refrigerator drawer was special. I also thought your valet service staff was great and gave additional help when I needed directions when walking around the area.
Adam at the front desk was fantastic at check in and gave us new ideas for our visit which we did and loved. I would definitely return to your hotel and suggest it to my friends and family.
Negatives:
The price of valet parking was really steep. As there was available parking at a ramp just a block away for $10 a night versus your $55 if felt rather high. I do know that helps cover valet staff but it still felt high. I did use it as I knew the festival of flowers was going to begin while we were there.
