The size and the amenities

When we book through 3rd party we're place in different rooms than if you book directly through the hotel.
Positives:
I like were it is located closed to restaurant and shopping area.
Negatives:
The property is under construction, so it’s quite dusty and when you look outside the balcony it’s dirty. The room needs to be upgraded some paints coming off and the toilet flash handle was broken, the carpet wasn’t clean and also for this inconvenience it’s kinda pricey.

I did not know it was under remodel when we booked. All in all it was still a pleasant experience

Not much. There is a bar on-site, which was nice even though the bartender was only there 30 min out of every hour. There was seating for meeting people as we were traveling to see family, but since the hotel was under renovation it was pretty embarrassing to ask them to meet us there.
Negatives:
Homewood Suites was under major renovations when we arrived and no one bothered to call and let us know, nor offer a discount. Even the drive to unload was blocked off by boxes and connexes. Even though they said the remodeling was on the 4th floor, the first floor hallway was in shambles. The laundry only had one working machine and of course the counter lady had no quarters for change, nor was there a change machine. The breakfast was awful and mostly empty every day when we arrived.
