Baymont by Wyndham Tri-Cities/Kennewick WA

Negatives: It was obvious that the hotel was trying to pinch pennies. The poor desk clerk was trying to do more than one job. I have never had to dial a phone at the front desk to summon a clerk to check in before. So I had to wait for the clerk to hear the phone and come running to assist. Also I did not like the fact that the breakfast room was locked and you had to access it by a room key card. And when you went in the room, it was unbearably hot - over 80 degrees. I was not the only one complaining of the uncomfortable room temp, and when I asked if we could leave the door open to help cool the room, I was told no, because they had problems with homeless coming in to eat. I have stayed at hotels all over the west and NEVER HAD A LOCKED BREAKFAST ROOM! That really turned me off and I complained at checkout about it. Their staff were very nice and apologized, but said it was management policy. I won't be staying there again because of that, and would NOT recommend it to anyone else!. There has got to be a better way to check if someone is eligible to be in the breakfast room area, besides putting us into a miserably hot room to have a mediocre breakfast.

Negatives: The hotel is old, it looks like a cosmetic makeover has been attempted, but that’s all it is. A cover up. The place is old and worn. Far too expensive for the condition of the establishment. There was no helpful information for finding our way around the area, or things to do while in the area. Lots of travel pamphlets for places 100’s of miles away, but nothing for the area. When I mentioned this to the front desk employee, her reply, I am just the front desk clerk. I told her I understood that, but she could share with her manager. She was less than interested innour suggestion. We were charged a deposit of 20.00 for incidentals?? There was nothing on Booking.com for this, nor were there any incidental we could have used. Why? The breakfast area was the biggest disappointment. We were there 40 min before they closed, and there were limited amounts available. No one came to restock the food, nor wipe down the tables and serving areas. Very unsanitary in our opinion..

Negatives: Not an issue with the hotel, but I didn't realize it was so far from where we were visiting family. Also, when the fire alarm system was going off, seems there was trouble re-setting it, it went off again a couple times.

Negatives: No coffee for breakfast, the heat and cold were reversed, the pool was closed just after breakfast for a few hours because they had just put chemicals in it. I booked this hotel who was more expensive than others only to have access to an inside pool that I couldn’t use.

Negatives: all 4 pillows were in different levels of aging out. Mattress probably needed turning.

Negatives: Outdated and really bad smell

Negatives: Nothing I didn't care for.

Negatives: We were on the bottom floor and people above us were loud. Also, we got charged a small fee for a safe that was not operational!

Negatives: It was extremely dirty and hated the fact my towels weren’t washed in 3 days, the bed was ripped and had holes and was dirty, my daughter was walking barefoot and the bottom of her feet were almost black. It wasn’t a pleasant experience at all. And I won’t be coming back.

Negatives: The room itself was dirty; there was hair in tub, ring left in shower, sloppy paint job...bed was very hard. The carpet was dirty and old looking. Wish there was a coffee maker in the room and coffee. Very bone basic considering the advertise the room as a king suite.
