Average summer temperatures are about 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix up here on the Rim. Nights get even cooler, and the sky is deep and velvety dark, perfect for some amazing stargazing!Nearby attractions and activities include a number of peaceful lakes for boating and fishing, several excellent golf-courses, horseback riding and hiking. For the less sports-minded, we've also got the petrified forest and several museums nearby, a number of local antique, gift and woodcarving shops, and plenty of wildlife and bird watching!
