The Squaw Valley Aerial Tram is an awesome place if you have an athletic, adventurous dog. You can hike (the elevation 8200 feet - you and your pet will definitely want to stop for a rest) or you can take the tram. If you want a ride up you can do so for free but no charge on the way down for you or your pooch. If you take the hike make sure to give yourself and your pup a refreshing break in the dog friendly swimming hole of Shirley Lake. Once atop the mountain enjoy a bite to eat the the restaurant where your pup can join you at one of the outdoor tables.
