Pikes Peak Toll Road

See the world from a whole new angle on the Pike's Peak Toll Road. The road leads directly up to Pike's Peak, which has an altitude of 14,000 feet. Dogs are welcome to join you on your journey -- however, they aren't allowed on the Cog Railway. There are numerous trails for you and your dog to explore on your way up the mountain -- just keep in mind that your dog must be leashed when taken outside the car. At the summit, it is very unsafe to take your pet out of the vehicle. Dogs cannot tolerate exercise well at this altitude. Please be sure to check with both your physician and your veterinarian to ensure that traveling to high altitudes won't compromise your health.
