The Lake Afton Observatory is open Friday and Saturday evenings to the public. Pets are not allowed inside the observatory building, but the are allowed on the grounds, which are picturesque and make for a pleasant walk. Dogs must be leashed and under their pet parent's control for the duration of their visit. The Observatory recommends taking turns caring for pets outside, rather than leaving them alone in the car.
