East End Beach, the City of Portland's only public beach, is a haven for summer visitors and urban dwellers alike. The sand and pebble beach stretches for a several hundred yards along the edge of the Eastern Promenade. Dogs are allowed off-leash the day after Labor Day to the day before Memorial Day.
