Positives:
Great location
Negatives:
Room was dirty, and in need of a lot of repairs. Many things in my room (425) have been neglected. Many of the surfaces were dusty. The closet carpet had clearly not been vacuumed in a long time. Tiles were broken. The air conditioning vents were disgusting. No one wants to breathe what comes out of those AC vents. See photos. The pullout sofa mattress had stains on it and the sheet that was on it was dirty. I can’t really say very many good things about this hotel. It’s one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve stayed in. Or at least my room was. I can say that Charlene at the front desk was very nice And did send HOUSE king being up to re-clean my room. However, they did not do a good job. They didn’t vacuum the dirty closet. Housekeeping is seeing the rooms with “90 days blind eyes”. And what I mean by that is they don’t see the room the way a new guest sees it. They’ve become desensitized to it and aren’t cleaning it very well. When they came up to re-clean my room, they took the bar of soap and did not replace it with a new bar. No big deal. I went down to the front desk and asked for another bar of soap and it was told (by I believe Tim) they don’t really provide soap in the hotel anymore. However, there was a soap dish and there was also soap when we arrived. I have a feeling that Tim just did not want to look for soap. Also our first night there when we pulled out the sofa bed and discovered how dirty it was and that had dirty sheets on it and I requested clean sheets I was told that I had to come down to the front desk to get them. This is when I was already in my pajamas. Other than Colleen, the customer service was lacking.

Positives:
We enjoyed the free breakfasts. it was nice to have so many choices.
Negatives:
The most disappointing aspect of our stay was the parking situation. we had two choices
for parking- drive around downtown Gainesville looking for a free parking spot, many trips around many blocks - or pay to park in the parking garage, which we could not afford.
