We arrived and no one was at reception for a while. When they did arrive, we weren't greeted in any way. No "hello, welcome, how can I help you". Although we booked for 2 people, it was clear the room was only set up for 1. Only 1 large towel, 1 tea bag etc. It is very dated and tired-looking and in-need of a face-lift. We would say it's more 2-star than 3. The breakfast was okay, although the muffin was the stalest thing I've eaten so makes you wonder how many breakfasts it had been out for.

I chose this hotel because of it's location close to the marina as we had booked a grizzly bear trip to Bute Inlet. Hotel was comfortable. Self help breakfast was very good. Excellent coffee shop nearby called Freyja, with great pastries.
Negatives:
I was not aware before booking this hotel that it was the main destination for bus tour passengers. This could be an issue for other customers who prefer not to be wakened up at 6:30 am and like a more relaxed breakfast!
