Negatives:
Room Extremely hot and couldn't control the temperature. The location of our room was next to the highway and sounded like cars running right through the room all night
Review
Poor
Positives:
The standard room was big enough to dry our ski gear in. This is standard for a typical canadian hotel.
Negatives:
Bathroom was in desparate need of maintenance and bath & toilet were dirty, there was a hair in the bathtub and slimy bacteria on the shower handle, the toilet had a film in it that was very visible. All our interactions with staff were robotic, we did not feel like guests in the hotel. Breakfast was standard continental but minimum, the amount of waste generated from everything wrapped individually was shocking.

Passable
Positives:
Upgraded to the loft room, very nice, specially with a lot of ski gear.
Negatives:
Could have used some kind of clothes drying. Some areas of the room were a bit "tired" , could use some paint or patching or both. But not a huge issue - we were there to ski, not to hangout in a hotel room.

Good
Positives:
We came here for skiing at Fernie Ski Resort. Our room was 207 on the same floor as reception. It faced the river and was very quiet. The restaurant was well priced and great food - we had the curries and Nan bread. I don’t think the bad reviews about this place are justified.
Negatives:
The breakfast was basic but good. I liked that they provided boiled eggs and fruit. I didn’t like the fact they only provided plastic cutlery. It makes the rest of their efforts look cheap and it’s bad for the environment.
