Location was fantastic, right on the water, park across the road - perfect for my dog. Pet friendly room, extra fee only $20 and no limitations on size of dog, able to leave him in the room etc was super convenient. Room was basic but exactly what we needed, bed was super comfy and shower was also good. Funky renovated motel, loved the decor!

Overall, my stay fell short of expectations. With no food service, having an oven in every room would've been a helpful alternative. Plus, limited access to the coffee maker in the lobby was inconvenient. For the price of $180, I expected more than a room with a nice view or something. It was a decent experience.

After having arranged a late checkout for my day of departure for 12:00 (which has been confirmed to me by the person at the lobby), at 11:10 at the day of my departure an impolite und unfriendly young man knocked at my door and wanted to throw me out in a rather aggressive manner.
When the staff of hotel zed is poorly organized and they do not communicate to each other, they should at least be polite to guests.

Location is great, staff were all helpful and friendly, love the quirky update of an old building, room was clean.
Negatives:
There was a light directly outside our window that was on all night and even with curtains drawn this was not conducive to sleep. Coupled with the heater/ac frequently cycling and like a turbo-prop engine, it wasn’t the most restful. Oh - and the construction that started at 7am.
