Positives: We've stayed here four times. It's nice for our kids to have the courtyard where they can play ping pong and sit by the fire, and not be confined to a small room. The cafe downstairs is fantastic. The alch-free cocktails every evening were nice too.
Negatives: It was our fourth time staying here and probably our last. The last time we stayed was in the summer of 2021, and they refused to do any house keeping because of Covid. This meant that we had five nights where our beds were un-made and full of sand from the nearby beach, and our tiny garbage was full of takeout food containers and had flies buzzing around it. It was super gross and frustrating. This year, everything is back to normal. They put us in a smaller room than we had paid for when we first arrived, but thankfully they were able to move us to the right room. However there is now a "tip card" that the cleaners leave behind asking for money. I found this insulting - tip culture is getting out of hand, and part of the price of staying in a hotel is receiving house keeping. I resigned to the fact that this is the way it is at this hotel now, so I made a mental note to leave a tip on our last day. (The housekeeping was good). But I guess since I didn't leave a tip on the first night, they never came back!! They came in to leave some new water bottles and remove the towels from the bathtub, but that was it! Sand in our unmade beds, and no fresh towels. It's disappointing to come back to a small room at the end of a long day that is messy and unmade. There was a loud banging noise at random intervals coming from the roof (I think?) above room 416. It bangs all night, probably something loose banging in the wind - metal against metal. It stops long enough for you just to drift off to sleep and then BANG it starts up again. The front desk gave us earplugs after we told them about it, but that only slightly dampened the sound. It's already a loud hotel with the sirens and traffic and the loud fridges in the room, but the metal banging sound meant that we just didn't get any sleep any of the nights.

Positives: Room were clean & comfortable. Staff were pleasant & helpful. Always felt safe. I always stay @ the Burrard because of the downtown location. close proximity to pubic transportation & doable walking distance to places in downtown area & across both Burrard & Granville bridges.
Negatives: Left the TV on @ night to block out odd noises (? from other room/pipes/parking area). No benefit to having garden view room. Would prefer that the norm is not to receive cleaning service unless patron requests it via door sign. Feel that would be more eco friendly. First time I stayed @ the Burrard & had a car. Realize parking availability is very limited. Feel there should be an assigned space @ the time of registration. Annoying to find no open space available due to manager parked in a spot. Perhaps the location of the e-bikes could be changed.

Positives: The room was very nice and the bed comfortable. I liked the free water in the fridge and coffee maker and kettle. A very nice touch. The hotel is in walking distance to a sky train station and shopping downtown.
Negatives: It was a bit noisy with the hospital right across the street and the music in the yard. But it didn't bother me a lot. Still had a great sleep.
