Negatives: An absolute sh*thole! I've stayed in nicer Mexican jails. It is in probably the sketchiest neighbourhood in town, next to a pawn shop, and discount stores. The area is frequented by hookers, and most of the people staying in the hotel are clients of the city's social services. The door on my room was literally off the hinges and I had to body slam it to close. The ice machine was broken and the carpets stained. No coffee maker/kettle/cups on the room, no small fridge, the microwave was from the cold war era, and there were no chairs. From the first step into the building, stepping over the cracked and crumbling cement door sill, past the free swinging doors, to the faded and flaking paint, the first and second impressions were thought provoking. Any "art" had been removed from the walls of the room, but the hardware left in place, and outside weeds sprung up through the cracks in the concrete and tarmac, whilst the fencing was rotting, faded, and falling over. I've stayed in a lot of hotels/motels, some were truly low budget, but this is by far the single worst sleeping experience of my life. I came to town to witness the eclipse and almost all rooms in town were booked. This seemed my last hope, and it was a poor decision. I should have stayed out of town. Even the TV was garbage.
