The fact that the hotel was right by I-65 and that restaurants were within walking distance. The room was a very nice space to be "sheltering" while waiting for the roads to melt.

The hot water and coffee in the dispensers by the door were not hot enough on multiple occasions.

Loud guests inconsiderate of others after 10 pm. Dirty, moldy air conditioner. Dressing area shelf broken from the wall. In-room phone inoperable and we couldn't find a cord to plug it in.

Disappointing as one of the reasons we stay is a descent breakfast

Rooms had bad musty smell, the refrigerator stand was rotten and the refrigerator door wouldnt open because it was sitting crooked on the shelf and the pool was closed and the water was nasty. I talked to the manager and I told him I would not continue to stay there and was told me that he refused to refund any money. We only stayed one night due to the horrible conditions. I should not have had to pay for the other 2 nights. It was not my fault that the hotel is in such poor condition.

Wasnt the original room that we were supposed to be in, staff said he was upgrading us in a better room, if this was an upgrade, I hate to see what that room looked like. Room needs to be thoroughly cleaned, carpet and chair/ottoman needs a good cleaning. Furniture needs to be updated. The bedding looked and smelled clean so that was good. Towels all looked and smelled clean. We stayed 3 nights, Friday through Monday. Came back to hotel Saturday to find that our key didnt work so had to go to office to have it reactivated. Saturday night there was a lot of noise from others staying in hotel including someone breaking glass outside our room which the glass was still there when we left Monday morning. Sunday night early Monday morning around 12:15 am the fire alarm went off in our room and the entire building waking us up scared and wondering what to do. After about 5 minutes it went back off, no emergency vehicles showed up and no explanation from hotel staff. We wont be staying there again.

The property seemed to be in a nice location and the beds were comfortable if a bit worn.
Negatives:
It was very rundown (peeling paint, holes in the comforter, dirty walls), but the other issues were what did it for me. There were slugs (yes, slugs) on the trash can and in the shower, the toilet wouldnt flush all the way, and the room just had an overall dirty feeling. Also housekeeping was banging on our door over an hour before checkout, but we werent allowed to check in until exactly 2:30.
