It was close to places to eat and the commute to downtown Birmingham was easy. The room and property were clean. The property also seemed to be safe and well maintained.

It's near a busy highway so my room was noisy. My bathroom door was damaged and the lighting in the bathroom was dim.

Not having to drive straight through from Indiana to Florida.

TV in the room was supposedly brand new, but didn't work, sheets had stains and hair on them, location was right on a busy road near a hospital... Heard cars and sirens all night and couldn't use the TV to drown out the noise. Front desk said they couldn't help with the TV, and didn't seem to care upon checkout.
