Element Huntsville a Marriott Hotel

Negatives: Everything about the hotel was great but the smell of sewer gas coming from the shower drain was very unpleasant

Negatives: The elevator was almost a minute walk from our room . Water took forever to get hot in shower. We booked thru booking.com. They charged us again for the room with our card on file. Had to call to get that fixed. They did refund the money. No fans in bathrooms.

Negatives: It seemed like other entering and exiting their rooms was louder than the norm. I found it very jarring.

Negatives: Gym was so so....screens didn't work on the bikes or treadmill. Rooms were clean but toilet paper was very thin and rough. Continental breakfast was just so so. For the price of the hotel I feel these things should've been better.

Negatives: Hated the parking

Negatives: The only thing I didn't like was that there was no ice machine. I went to the front desk and requested some ice but an ice machine would have been more convenient.

Negatives: The breakfast could be better for the price of the room. The Marriot side, next door, has an incredible breakfast, and the two are not even comparable. I know the Element is a .5 star rating lower, but it could be better.

Negatives: I got in from the HC game and only wanted to take a hot shower. The water was Luke warm. I called downstairs it took maintenance 30 plus minutes to come then he came stood in the shower turned it on (I had just cut it off when he knocked it had already been running for 30 minutes) & he told me to run the sink water and see if that helped. He then proceeded to tell me there wasn't a way he could fix it, and that everyone must be taking a shower at the same time but for me to let the shower and sink water continue to run and to give him a minute and he would come back. 30 minutes past & I noticed he hadn't returned and called the front desk only for them to tell me he had left for the night and there was nothing they could do. I asked for a manager the lady told me I would have to wait until in the morning. Mind you it's now almost 1 am and I'm going back and forth with them on how unprofessional this is and for a hotel of this caliber not to have hot water is ridiculous. It was after going back and forth for almost 2 hours that the lady said with an attitude she could move us. I was so irritated bc it was late and I was tired and just hung up. I started looking for hotels but everything was booked. I got up this morning to shower around 9 am and still the same thing water was still Luke warm! I stayed in the Westin side last year and did not have that problem. I feel like I was brushed off last night and they didn't really care. I paid $334 for the room and was given or will be given half back. I honestly wanted all of my money back bc on top of the water not working the bed wasn't comfortable and the pillows were so flat I might as well not have had one! I'm irritated just typing this out all over again! I had the worst experience!
