The unexpected upgrade for the final two nights, after a few stays before. Reception staff overall is doing a great job. Breakfast is ambitious. You dont always get a variety of bagels, waffles, french toast and pancakes as a continental breakfast.

How much you enjoy your stay (as in many hotels) is up to the room youre in. I was put into what felt like the most uncomfortable rooms on-site (strong smells of alcohol, heating system not working, hair on the pillows) repeatedly. Didnt feel welcomed at all.

It was a bit dusty in my room but it was okay

The room had no heat. The window was open and the room was 51 degrees. When I asked for a different room they said that was the last one. They gave me a small plug in heater. Room temperature was 65 by morning.

Pot smokers on the side deck. The smell of pot in the hallway. They had a lot of snow. Parking lot was poorly maintained. The hotel just needed lots of attention to maintenance. Staff seemed to not care. This hotel should be your last choice.
Positives:
Walkable location to stores and restaurants. If you need close access to Anchorage but not BE in Anchorage this Microtel is ideal! All front desk (*Rhea, Luke) staff are accomodating, friendly and efficient.
Negatives:
Nothing sticks out that says fix this or I don't know if I'd stay here again. It's great value lodging!
