Very pleasant weekend get away!
Positives:
The front desk staff & restaurant staff were the friendliest of people. The heated pool & spa were working & in great condition. The breakfast included gave so many great options and tasted excellent. The free water bottles were a wonderful surprise. The location (right next to the Pima Wash), was beautiful and made for awesome bird watching plus you can hear coyote calls through the night which was exciting.
Negatives:
The air conditioner in our room was not working even after maintenance came to fix it which, made for uncomfortable temperatures especially at night. The tile floors in our room were so dirty that you couldn’t walk barefoot across the room without getting black feet.

Positives:
The location was great for us, midway between downtown and the desert trails we wanted to hike. Rooms and public areas, while dated, were clean and comfy. The pool and outside areas were really nice and well kept. A good shower is important to us and this one was GREAT. The overnight desk staff in particular were friendly and helpful.
Negatives:
We didn't receive all promised amenities. Service in the bar/restaurant was slow and inconsistent, with some guests actually having to pick up their food from the kitchen. Kitchen was shut down by the health department for a day and guests were not notified, leaving us to wonder what happened to the hot breakfast. Pool area dominated by a few families who offload all their crap onto chairs, then disappear for most of the day, leaving the area unusable for everyone else. Housekeeping is only once per week and you practically have to beg to have water replenished, even though that's supposedly covered in the resort fee.

I flew into phx, drove to tuscon - got there at 12:30 am only to be told by the night attendant who was drinking beers with his buddies in the parking lot when we got there that they had to cancel my reservation and they had no more rooms. He said they called me and emailed me - i have no record of either. So at 12:30 am after a 5 hour flight I had to find another hotel. The new hotel cost me 1000 bucks for a much smaller room.

The pool area along with the outside was nice. The Gringo bar was good.
Negatives:
The rooms are very outdated. The sliding glass door is old and hard yo open and close. The breakfast was not very good. Ended on going somewhere the second day to get a decent breakfast. The fan in the room was sounding like it was going to fall off. The ac unit sounded like a jet engine. The bathroom toilet felt like you were sitting on a kids training toilet.

We had our family dog with us and received a ground level room for easy accessibility to the beautiful grounds. There were pet stations available for use too. The room was comfortable enough for my family of 3. We were prepared with food to utilize the microwave. The single serving keurig was a nice touch. We got in around dinner time and went to their restaurant which was delicious but understaffed.
Negatives:
The receptionist that checked us in was not meant to have a career in customer service to the point my 14 yo even thought he was rude to us.
