Last minute availability... now I know why.

Everything. The hotel was under construction, on all floors, which was not mentioned. My first room smelled strongly of cigarettes so I requested a switch. The second room smelled of chemicals, it was filthy, with mildew/ damage in the bathroom. Additionally I did not feel safe, with an approximate 2 inch gap under the room door, and people loitering around the property. I checked in around 3, and immediately left the premises to care for my father after surgery. I returned later in the evening about 730om went straight to my room and was there for about 10 minutes before my eyes and skin became irritated, and I did not feel I could safely/ comfortably even sleep there one night. I went to the desk, informed reception(I'll withhold the name here because I THOUGHT he was nice enough), that I needed to leave, listed the reasons why, and I would not be returning to stay. He informed me that I would have to call booking.com for the refund (which I did promptly). Since then it has been a week and the manager of the hotel, after multiple attempts by booking.com has refused my refund due to ""I did not complain before I left"" has not returned my calls. I am filing with the corporate guest relations, and will continue to increase action until resolved appropriately. Thev conditions of the hotel is one thing, the indecency of management and not adhering to safety and policy is abhorrent.

Worst experience I've ever had.
Positives:
Very quiet room, nicely furnished, clean. Mini-refrigerator is essential when travelling with pets. Love that there's no extra charge for pets as I travel with them often.
Negatives:
Pet rooms should be on first floor. TV remote was glitchy. They are doing a remodel, so there were bathtubs stacked around the parking lot. Very minor quibbles.

The place was a serious disappointment! I found a hair on the towel, on the toilet, there was a small spot of feces on the wall next to the toilet paper holder, Scuzz on the back of the shower head, and a few more things. Plus when u shower in the HANDICAP bathroom it floods out the front door u exit out of. WOW!! The sad thing is I complained to the 1st woman and she acted like it was no big deal…

The location to Saguaro national park is perfect. The property has been upgraded and overall.It is pretty nice visually and it's also very clean.
Negatives:
The beds are a bit lumpy and the TV's are absolutely terrible. The quality of the picture is dim and awful and the size of the TV's is like a cracker jack box. You would think with all of the upgrades that they are doing this would be on their list. But it is not.
