Positives:
Location and setting is beautiful, beds were very comfortable and general hotel vibe was pleasant.
Negatives:
Lots of small issues, no hot water at certain times of day, and needed to leave shower running for 10+ minutes to even get hot water.
No housekeeping multiple days in a row, and when asking at front desk, the room was finally tended to but with a very rushed job, and no topped up towels or toilet paper (which was the only thing we actually asked for). I feel bad for the staff, as I imagine there are shortages and they are over-worked.
Pretty expensive all things considered, and didn’t feel great spending $400/night for this level of service.

Positives:
The room was ample sized, in good repair and clean. The bed was comfortable and linens were lovely. The bathroom was large, towels were fluffy, shower fixtures upgraded and the bath products were very nice. The view of the Catalinas from our room was, as advertised, very pleasant. We had lunch twice and the food was excellent. The property appears to be undergoing a facelift and our stay was unaffected.
Negatives:
Staffing levels seem rather sparse. Parking was inconvenient so we opted to use the valet services. Room service options were rather limited, particularly for breakfast.

Negatives:
We stayed here specifically to experience the swimming pools. The temperature was a high of 58°, so we couldn't go swimming like we wanted to. It being so cold was out of the resorts control, but it was disappointing to spend so much money on a room to basically be confined to it.

Positives:
Room was very large! We had a room at the end of the building, so it was very quiet. Bed was comfy, TV was big. Bathroom had a separate shower from the tub; I wish the tub was bigger, it would fit a kid but not an average-sized adult. Parking was free. We ate at the restaurant in the main building one day, we liked our dinners.
Negatives:
We arrived after dark, and didn't know the layout of the property. I wish a staff member had been there to show us to our building/room because we kinda wandered around until we found a building with an elevator to get us to the 2nd floor. Fridge door didn't latch easily so overnight it wasn't on. They didn't provide a shower cap (to keep my hair dry when showering; hard to keep my hair out of the "rainfall" shower) so when i asked for one, what i got was more like a hair net with a hole in it. Did not use that in the shower.
