I AM A LOCAL BUSINESS OWNER WHO WANTED TO RELAX IN A NICE HOT TUB FOR AN EVENING. WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE PROPERTY I NOTICED THE POOL AREA WAS CLOSED SO I ASKED HOW LONG IT WOULD BE DOWN AS I WAS EXCITED TO ENTER. THEY SAID HOPEFULLY TOMORROW AFTERNOON. WELL I WONT BE HERE I ONLY BOOKED ONE NIGHT FOR THE HOT TUB. I ASKED TO CANCEL MY RESERVATION AND THE LADY AT THE DESK SAID I HAD TO DO IT THROUGH BOOKING.COM. i TRIED AND TRIED WHILE SHE WAS WATCHING ME. I ENDED UP CALLING THEM AND THEY REQUESTED THE HOTEL WAIVE THE CANCELLATION FEE AS I WAS ONLY WANTING IT FOR THE HOT TUB. The whole fourth floor and our room smelled like cat pee. Cleanliness was not up to standards.

The best part of the stay was the one male room attendant with short hair who cleared the room after we checked out. He was very nice and professional and personable. He ran to the parking lot to return an item we forgot in the room after checkout. Turned the entire experience around to a very positive one. He needs a raise asap.
Negatives:
The reception desk employees were mid. They were not very friendly. I could tell that the person who cleaned the room prior to our stay had very long hair because there was long hair strands all over the tub. The sheets were itchy.

The staff was very welcoming and professional, as always. I often stay here when I'm in Yuma. Having the Angry Crab restaurant next door is a bonus. The property is an older property and there are newer properties in town, brands such as Marriott, but this feels comfortable. I would say it will need some updating in the near future.
