Updated decor. Thermostat had dead battery but maintenance fixed it quickly.
Negatives:
Updated decor does not make up for lack of cleanliness, especially in bathroom. Tub had been resurfaced and was peeling. Bed squeaked every time I rolled over. Also with the price we paid, we expected free breakfast like most other Holiday Inns.

The breakfast is an awesome perk. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything asked for was given quickly and with a smile.

Trash under bed- toilet seat fell off as you sat down- shower control hanging of wall, so we could not take a shower during our stay- carpet dirty- no full roll of toilet paper so we ran out-brackets on wall for amenities kept falling off wall when trying to use amenities- spots on bathroom mirror - had to leave room to use wi- fi - bath tub stained and scratched up - I have COPD paint smell was very strong - very noisy- very surprised at all of this at a Holiday Inn !!!

The manager was not friendly and acommendating my room was supposed to be a king size suite with a sofa bed that sleeps up to 4 but instead I recieved a king size bed with a couch that did not have a bed i was told that they took out all the sofa beds.

The location, the restaurant adjoining the hotel, and the parking lot! The parking spaces do not accommodate a full sized truck! Especially if it is 4 doors!

The area surrounding the hotel was in a bad neighborhood. The rooms were dirty and bedding smelled like it wasn't washed. Their were stains on the walls and headboard. It smelled like a nursing home.
