The hotel grounds were dirty, ice dispensers were dirty, shower drainage was clogged, toilet was clogged too! Paint was chipping off the wood of the building Lindsey was rude (front) office assistant. I wouldn't stay here again if they paid me too!. I was definitely overcharged for this hotel. Shuttle service was great.

The lush landscaping makes you feel like youre in a tropical setting. The room was nice and the staff attentive and helpful. The free shuttle to and from Avalon was helpful. Im limited in hotel selection because I take my little dog with me. Happy that they allowed pets for a reasonable fee.
Negatives:
The room could have been cleaner. After my little dog started sniffing around the bed, I checked an open area towards the headboard and found old French fried and an empty trail mix bag. People are smoking on the balconies and that just stinks up the room. Lastly, the restaurant was more like the chow hall of a youth hostel and is - as far as I understand - actually a separate entity and does not even belong to the hotel.
