Awesome breakfast! My son loved waffles with combo regular and chocolate or regular and strawberry self-serve. It was easy enough for a 12 year old to bring breakfast to room. Waffles, hard-boiled eggs, juice, and cereal. Great place to bring dog.

There are not many hotels in Encinitas, which is a suburban/beach community. My daughter and her family reside there, but we enjoy some privacy and relaxation time and a hotel offers us a “time-out” from the family. This hotel is well located for us. The breakfast was very good.
Negatives:
It is very close to the highway and not very “scenic”. However, it does the job if you need a clean, convenient place to stay.

Need to go out front door and across parking to get to pool and jacuzzi. Toilets are very short in height- tough for someone after surgery or with knee issues.

Positives:
Super close to the freeway, which could either be good or bad depending on what you’re looking for. Rooms were a decently good size. Seemingly safe parking lot, and very close to a gas station and a decent Mexican restaurant.
Negatives:
I booked a king size room, but the staff tried to put me on the ground floor really close to the lobby. So I asked them to switch me to a 2nd floor room, and all they had was a room with 2 queen beds. The 2nd floor room I got was really more like a 1st floor room— the window’s view was a private home’s backyard!
