The room was lovely, a great size with comfy beds! Staff very friendly and great that there was a fitness centre too and free coffee in the lobby in the morning. We didn't use the pool but can imagine it is popular in the summer! An easy walking distance from the centre of Monterey and all the great bars and restaurants too.
Negatives:
The only downside would have been that they charge for parking - but we got lucky being there on a Sunday and left our car on the street next to the hotel.

Great location, easy to find, with so many places to visit, shop and eat, all within walking distances. Lovely room, very quiet and comfortable.
Negatives:
Would recommend to couples, or someone who might take full advantage of the spa and restaurant (which I did not on this occasion) - great for treating yourself.

i liked that denny's was across the street. i paid a pretty penny to sleep on an amazing bed. was happy to save a penny eating on a budget across the street.

the Esteban sign confused me. i felt very lost trying to figure out where to check in.
